Meet the Team – Jordan Field
It's National Apprenticeship Week, so we took the opportunity to speak to Jordan about his experience since joining us as an apprentice in 2018.
When did you begin your apprenticeship with Poole Audi?
I began my three-year apprenticeship with Poole Audi in September 2018 as a Service Technician. I was always very interested in the idea of doing an apprenticeship. Earning money whilst learning and working in a different environment to a classroom were two very important factors for me.
What’s your current job role?
After qualifying as a Service Technician in March 2022, I decided that I would like to gain some experience in a different area of the business and move across to the sales team. My apprenticeship was the perfect way to establish myself within the business and it allowed me to consider what area I wanted to focus my career on. I now have a few months left as a trainee, and I will then be a fully qualified Sales Specialist.
What’s been your favourite experience so far?
My favourite part of this whole experience has been how rewarding and useful my apprenticeship was. Now that I’ve moved roles, I have so much technical knowledge that I’ve gained from doing the apprenticeship that has really given me a head start in the sales environment.
What do you like most about your job role?
Meeting new customers and promoting the Audi brand is my favourite part of the job. I’ve always loved Audi as a company and spending my working day talking about a brand that I’m very passionate about is really rewarding. Every day is different and brings a fresh challenge.
Why Poole Audi?
Poole Audi is a great company to work for. They offer you a lot of support as an employee and have encouraged me to find the right career path. My colleagues are great, we all work well as a team and have a good working environment.
What are the future goals in your career?
Once I’m a fully qualified Sales Specialist, I’d like to do an Audi Sport accreditation so that I can specialise in S, RS, and R8 models. I also plan to do an electric vehicle (EV) specialist qualification.
What is your favourite Audi and why?
When it comes to Audi, I have a few favourites. The RS 4 B5, RS e-tron GT or an RS 6 Avant, and I’m all about the bright colours!
Would you recommend an apprenticeship with Poole Audi?
Yes abolsutely! The support and facilities at Poole Audi are fantastic! I’ve been able to learn on the job and be paid at the same time. I’ve made some great friendships along the way and I am very excited for my future.
Tell us something interesting about yourself?
I have always had a passion for motorsport and cars. I believe it was always likely that I’d end up working within the automotive industry.
