The Audi A2 e-tron: Rethinking efficiency
The all-new Audi A2 e-tron places efficiency firmly at the heart of its design. It is the most efficient series-production Audi has ever created. Combining intelligent technology, exceptional practicality and innovative digital services, the Audi A2 e-tron has been carefully developed to meet the evolving needs of drivers.
Designed in Germany and produced at Audi's Ingolstadt headquarters, the Audi A2 e-tron also showcases a more efficient approach to vehicle development and manufacturing. Order books are set to open in autumn 2026, with first customer deliveries beginning in December 2026.
"The A2 e-tron is more than a new model; it represents Audi's renewal. It shows how we are rethinking premium for Europe, using resources more intelligently without compromising on quality, technology or customer experience. Developed for the needs of our European customers and built in Ingolstadt, it demonstrates our ambition to shape the future of premium mobility."
Gernot Döllner, CEO of Audi
Efficiency Without Compromise
The Audi A2 e-tron has been designed for customers who expect more from electric mobility. Low running costs, long-range capability, generous interior space and advanced technology are all delivered without compromise.
A major contributor to its outstanding efficiency is its advanced aerodynamic design. With a drag coefficient of just 0.24, the Audi A2 e-tron achieves the best aerodynamic performance of any Audi in the compact segment. Smooth, aerodynamic surfaces are complemented by carefully integrated features including a controllable cooling air intake, an almost fully enclosed underbody, newly developed aerodynamic wheels and innovative wheel arch gap reducers, which minimise air resistance around the tyres.
Adding both style and functionality, wing-shaped electric door handles with integrated haptic sensors sit seamlessly within the bodywork, enhancing both convenience and aerodynamic performance.
Intelligent Performance, Exceptional Range
The Audi A2 e-tron is available with a choice of four power outputs, ranging from 125 kW and 350 Nm in the entry-level model to 240 kW and 545 Nm in the range-topping variant. Customers can also choose from three battery capacities of 52 kWh, 61 kWh or 84 kWh (gross capacity), allowing you to tailor the vehicle to your individual driving requirements.
Four regenerative braking levels, including one-pedal driving via B mode, help maximise efficiency and driving comfort.
Equipped with permanently excited synchronous motors and rear-wheel drive, the Audi A2 e-tron can achieve a WLTP range of up to 646 kilometres. The Audi A2 e-tron 140 kW, fitted with the optional efficiency package, delivers the benchmark energy consumption figure of 12.8 kWh/100 km, making it the most efficient Audi ever produced.
The Audi A2 e-tron also introduces advanced bidirectional charging capabilities. Through Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, the vehicle can power external devices such as e-bikes directly from the charging port or a power outlet in the luggage compartment. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, compatible Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) technology allows the vehicle to act as a home energy storage solution, feeding electricity back into the household grid when required.
Together, these innovations demonstrate Audi's vision for premium electric mobility, where intelligent energy management and overall vehicle efficiency take precedence over simply increasing battery size or power output.
Compact Dimensions, Generous Space
Efficiency extends beyond the powertrain and into the cabin itself. While compact on the outside, the Audi A2 e-tron provides a spacious, welcoming interior designed around everyday usability.
A key design feature is the new Softwrap interior concept, where soft, fabric-covered surfaces flow seamlessly across the dashboard, doors and rear cabin, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. An optional panoramic glass roof spanning 1.6 square metres floods the interior with natural light, while a specialist coating helps protect occupants from UV radiation.
Practicality is enhanced by Audi's innovative Fidlock fastening system, making Audi the first premium manufacturer to integrate the patented magnetic technology as standard. From cup holders to charging cable storage, accessories can be securely and conveniently organised with a simple click.
The Audi A2 e-tron also supports modern flexible working through Audi Connected Work, which integrates Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and an AI-powered Work Agent, helping drivers remain connected while on the move.
A New Approach to Sustainable Premium Design
Premium quality and sustainability go hand in hand in the Audi A2 e-tron. Depending on specification, the vehicle incorporates more than 300 components manufactured using recycled materials, including recycled steel, aluminium and plastics. More than 100 parts are produced using post-consumer recycled content.
Audi has also engineered many components with future recyclability in mind, supporting a more circular approach to vehicle production. The Audi A2 e-tron offers a glimpse into how sustainable practices will become an integral part of premium mobility in the years ahead.
Available to Order from Autumn 2026
Combining class-leading efficiency, advanced digital integration, sustainable materials and smart production methods, the Audi A2 e-tron represents a bold new chapter for the brand. Developed specifically for European customers and built in Germany, it redefines what premium electric mobility can be.
Order books open in autumn 2026, with first customer deliveries scheduled from December 2026.
