New Audi Q4 e-tron Unveiled
Audi has revealed the refreshed Audi Q4 e‑tron, bringing impressive upgrades in range, charging capability and intuitive operation. The updated electric crossover also introduces the ability to power external electrical devices, such as an e-bike. Inside, a redesigned digital environment, intuitive controls and generous space create a premium and modern cabin experience. Externally, the Audi Q4 e‑tron benefits from sharper styling and new lighting technologies.
Body styles and exterior design
The new Audi Q4 e‑tron is available in two body styles: SUV and Sportback. Its exterior design is now more confident and contemporary, defined by short front overhangs, large alloy wheels, a wide stance and pronounced side sculpting that emphasise its dynamic proportions. The upright front end is dominated by Audi’s signature Single frame grille, now finished in a body-colour design for a cleaner, more integrated look.
S line models feature distinctive vertical blades in Selenite Silver matte on the front and rear bumpers, while Black Edition variants upgrade these accents to high-gloss Mythos Black for an even sportier appearance.
Interior design and technology
Inside the cabin, the driver-focused digital stage takes centre stage. The key highlight is the panoramic display, combining an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster with a 12.8-inch MMI touch display. Large, clearly laid-out tiles provide an immediate overview of vehicle functions and connected services.
For the first time in this segment, Audi offers an optional 12-inch passenger display on the Vorsprung trim. This is the largest passenger display ever fitted to an Audi and features a customisable standby design. When not specified, high-quality decorative trim enhances the passenger-side dashboard area.
An optional Augmented Reality Head-Up Display further enhances ease of use, projecting information directly onto the windscreen in two layers. Navigation arrows, route guidance points and selected driver assistance prompts appear seamlessly aligned with the real-world environment, providing intuitive visual support.
The clean, horizontal dashboard layout enhances the sense of space, while vertical air vents visually frame the fascia and connect to the low-profile, integrated door handles.
Smartphone charging is also generous, with four easily accessible options: two cooled wireless charging trays delivering up to 15 watts each, plus two USB‑C ports beneath the centre armrest. An additional pair of USB‑C ports can be specified for rear passengers.
Powertrains and efficiency
Audi has revised the Audi Q4 e‑tron powertrain naming structure, with three variants now available:
- Q4 e‑tron (previously 40 e‑tron)
- Q4 e‑tron performance (previously 45 e‑tron)
- Q4 e‑tron quattro performance (previously 55 e‑tron quattro)
Advanced modulation technology enables more efficient use of DC voltage, delivering higher power even at lower battery charge levels. Overall, efficiency has improved by approximately 10 per cent compared with the previous model.
Transmission efficiency has also been enhanced. A newly developed low-viscosity lubricant reduces friction losses while maintaining durability. In colder conditions, this improvement alone can extend driving range by up to seven miles on a full charge.
