Performance combined with efficiency: the new Audi A6 plug-in hybrid models
After completely redeveloping the Audi A6 Saloon and Avant model lines using the most advanced combustion engine technology, Audi is now reinstating a plug-in hybrid version in each range that is similarly progressive. The new Audi A6 Saloon and Avant e-hybrid quattro models build on the strengths of their TFSI e predecessors, and will be available in the UK with a 220 kW (299PS) drivetrain delivering plentiful performance and the potential for an impressive electric-only driving range of up to 64 miles*.
The new Audi A6 Saloon and Avant e-hybrid quattro models combine a 2.0 TFSI petrol engine (252 PS) with a 105 kW electric motor, delivering a total system output of 299 PS and 450 Nm of torque. They accelerate from 0–62 mph in just 6.0 seconds and can reach 155 mph, showcasing impressive performance with eco-conscious engineering.
Extended Electric Range and Faster Charging
Thanks to a new 25.9 kWh high-voltage battery, range is now up to 64 miles* (Saloon) and 63 miles* (Avant) on electric power alone. AC charging power has increased to 11 kW, allowing a full charge in just 2.5 hours**.
Smart Efficiency and Driving Modes
An intelligent hybrid management system selects between EV and hybrid modes for optimal efficiency. A new digital slider allows drivers to set a specific charge level in hybrid mode. The system also supports predictive energy management based on navigation data and traffic conditions.
Regenerative Braking and Driving Dynamics
Energy recovery is enhanced, with up to 88 kW recuperated during braking. Three levels of regenerative braking can be controlled via steering-wheel paddles, offering customisable driving feel and improved efficiency.
Agile Handling and Superior Comfort
Quattro ultra all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering come as standard, providing agility at low speeds and stability at high speeds. Enhanced sound insulation, improved aerodynamics, and optimised engine/transmission mounts deliver a quieter, more refined ride.
Advanced Battery Design
Audi’s new battery cell-to-pack architecture increases energy density by 46% without significantly increasing space. Efficient energy management and cooling support performance even in low-charge or low-temperature conditions.
Smart Charging and Broader Access
With three-phase AC charging and support for Audi Charging services across 29 European countries, the Audi A6 e-hybrid ensures convenience at home and on the go.
The new Audi A6 e-hybrid quattro models deliver progressive performance, premium comfort, and intelligent efficiency, setting new standards for plug-in hybrid executive cars.

*Range dependent on trim and optional equipment. All vehicles are tested according to WLTP technical procedures. Figures shown are official test values for comparability purposes; only compare electric range figures with other vehicles tested to the same technical procedures. These figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including but not limited to factory fitted options, accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, road and traffic conditions, individual driving styles, vehicle load, vehicle condition, use of systems like climate control (and, for battery electric vehicles, the starting charge, age and conditions of the battery). Figures for battery electric vehicles were obtained after the battery had been fully charged. Battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. Zero emissions while driving. Figures quoted are subject to change due to ongoing approvals/changes and figures may include options not available in the UK. Please consult your local Audi Centre for further information.
Lithium-ion batteries, of the type used in most electric vehicles (including Audi electric vehicles) have a restricted lifespan. Battery capacity will reduce over time, with use and charging. Reduction in battery capacity will affect the performance of the vehicle, including the range achievable and is one of a numbers of factors that may impact resale value. New car performance figures (including battery capacity and range) may be provided for the purposes of comparison between vehicles. You should not rely on new car performance figures (including battery capacity and range), in relation to used vehicles with older batteries, as they will not reflect used vehicle performance in the real world. Audi 8 year/100,000 mile new car battery warranty. Exclusions and warranty terms apply.
**Timings based on a 0-100% charge using 11kW wall box. Charging time stated based under optimum conditions. Actual charging times will vary depending on various factors, including the selected vehicle (and battery option, if available), the type of charger used, the level of charge in the battery, the age type, condition and temperature of the charger and the battery, the power supply, ambient temperature at the point of use and other environmental factors. Charging times will also be affected by the charging curve (for example, once charging passes 80%, charging will slow to protect the battery's longevity) and will be longer if battery temperature activates safeguarding technology.
